Tower running

Tower running, you can't just wake up one fine day and decide to run or participate in a skyscraper dash. It needs rigorous training.

A tower run has a huge impact on the knee, hence it is important to take it slow while coming down. Do a lot of squats to build your thigh muscles so that the stress is less on the knee. Diet is another critical aspect of preparing for the race.

The participants are usually runners, mountaineers and first-timers who want to try something different. And there are some who accept challenges.
In the past few years have seen hundreds of Indians join this list of people wanting to climb thousands of steps to test their endurance levels.

For most of us, the sight of a broken down lift is enough to set the heart palpitating. once I stayed on 9th floor and imagine I barely could climb seven floors, However, it may surprise you that there are people who have taken racing upstairs as a sport. "Tower running" involves dashing up the staircases of the tallest buildings across the world. The sport has become a rage all over

Education for all (Malala)!!!

When Malala was shot by the Taliban for speaking publicly about the importance of a girl’s education, they thought they had silenced her. But they were wrong.
Since that day, her voice has only grown stronger. She won Noble prize with Satyarthi. What a noble cause they both stood for. I support both. I don't have courage like Malala. She is great. I support her cause. She has voiced for education for all the girls in the world who are deprived of an opportunity for an education.
The Global Partnership for Education (GPE)  receives funds from all over.

India is a land of diversities and we have countless flavours and delicacies which are unique to the state and area it belongs. We have 100 different varieties of  parathas, kulchhas, rotis, naans and appams from our kitchens. We use multiple masalas like turmeric, cardamom, black pepper and ingredients in a single recipe. The addition of every masala gives a unique flavour to the recipe.

My Life

I have been in hospitality industry for 33 years at different places.
I love learning all the time, I have encountered at least 30 to 50 new faces every day, but all I wants is to return to my native place after retirement.
It seems like it was yesterday when I joined this industry. I have started working as a steward and then went on to get raised in my designation for 33 years.
At times I had worked double shifts with a short 30 to 40 minute break.
I have noticed that the trend, eating habits and life style has changed over the years
I have had a chance to see many famous people at different places in my life – filmmakers, politicians, and business man, Time has left its imprint on me. I look a lot older now. I like it this way.
The day I joined hospitality industry, I was told to be impersonal and never get close to my customers. At times I could never just be a waiter or an indifferent onlooker.
Time has really flown!  As one gets older, one is more drawn towards one's home. I want to relax; I want to be with my wife.

Ban on meat and politics

Jain "No lives should be taken during Paryushan."
'When fish is taken out from the sea it is dead, hence no ban on it.'
First came the ban on beef and then the ban on meat for certain days September 10, 13, 17, 18 during the Jain festival of Paryushan Mumbai.
The proposal to ban the sale of meat and shut the abattoirs during Paryushan was moved by Dinesh Jain, a Bharatiya Janata Party corporator from Mira-Bhayander.
A judgment by Supreme Court came in 2008 granting municipal corporations the power to impose a ban on meat slaughter during Paryushan. The order is applicable to localities with a large Jain population. In the Mira-Bhayander area, 25 to 30 per cent of the population is Jain.
some political parties are politicizing this issue they are looking at the vote banks.

My first blog OROP

Aaj news me suna OROP 1st April 2004 se lagu ho gaya hai. Sun kar acha laga. Sarkar kahti hai VRS ko isme shamil nahi kiya jayega. Sarbjit kahte hain. Serviceman me VRS nahi hota pre retirement hota hai. Yeh valid point hai. Sarkar ko is baat par vichar karna hoga aur OROP mein sansodhan laane honge.

I heard Honorable PM Narendra Modi on television news two days ago saying all servicemen deserve OROP. It felt really nice that now servicemen will be taken care of.

Why did Ex=service men protest? what and who made them protest? Is it correct that Indian bureaucracy is the main reason of delay in OROP? Bureaucrats did not want OROP to happen? Ex-servicemen really had to wait for 42 years for OROP to happen. It's not correct.
